Detailed Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to the Paradise on Earth (Srinagar)
Experience: Leaving behind the monotonous city life, you will be picked up at Srinagar Airport. We will proceed toward the Dal Lake area, witnessing a scenic adventure along the way.
Overnight: Check into your Houseboat or Hotel and relax. Night stay in the Dal Lake or Sonamarg area.
Day 2: The Journey to Kargil via Zojila Pass
Experience: After an early breakfast, leave Kashmir behind and approach Ladakh through the majestic Zojila Pass. Drive under a canopy of blue skies through Sonamarg, Dras, the Kargil War Memorial, and finally into the Suru Valley.
Overnight: Night stay at a resort in Kargil / Suru Valley.
Day 3: Glaciers & Green Villages of Suru Valley
Experience: An early departure to explore Parkachik Village and its stunning glacier. Visit Damsna for Nun Kun views, Karpokher, Sankoo (the Green Village), Kartse Kher (Chamba), Trespone Village, the Imambara, and Hunderman.
Overnight: Night stay at a resort in Kargil / Suru Valley.
Day 4: The Scenic Drive to Leh
Experience: Leave Suru Valley and commence the journey towards Leh. En route, witness Mulbekh, Lamayuru, Alchi, Likir, the Sangam (confluence of rivers), Nimmu, Magnetic Hill, and the Hall of Fame.
Overnight: Night stay at a Hotel/Resort in Leh.
Day 5: Leh City Heritage Tour
Experience: After breakfast, embark on a comprehensive Leh city tour. Explore Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Hemis Monastery, Shey Monastery, Thiksey Monastery, Sindhu Ghat, and the vibrant Leh Market.
Overnight: Night stay at a Hotel/Resort in Leh.
Day 6: Entering Nubra Valley & The Last Village
Experience: Cross the mighty Khardung La pass and descend into Nubra Valley via Khalsar. Visit Diskit Monastery before heading to the hidden hamlet of Turtuk and “Thang”—the last northern village of India on the banks of the Shyok River, offering incredible views.
Overnight: Night stay in Tyakshi.
Day 7: The Sand Dunes of Hunder
Experience: Travel to Hunder, beautifully referred to as the “Kazakhstan of India”. Enjoy an included safari riding the unique two-humped Bactrian camels.
Overnight: Night stay in a cottage (or similar) in Hunder.
Day 8: Hot Springs & Hidden Hamlets
Experience: Proceed to the unknown destination of Panamik. Visit Yarab Tso, Panamik Hotsprings, summer sand dunes, Ista Monastery, and local villages. (If permitted, take an optional excursion to Siachen Base Camp—the highest battlefield in the world and the source of the Nubra River, available at a nominal cost).
Overnight: Night stay in Sasoma or Hunder.
Day 9: The Golden Shores of Pangong Lake
Experience: Drive towards Pangong Lake via the Agham-Shyok route. Enjoy a mesmerizing sunset where the world turns golden, pink, and red as migratory birds dive into the water.
Overnight: Night stay at a lakeside cottage (Skyway Cottage or similar) at Pangong.
Day 10: Sunrise at Pangong & The Road to Hanle
Experience: Witness a lifetime experience with a breathtaking Pangong sunrise. After breakfast, travel via the Sagala Pass, Loma Bend, Spangmik, Man, Merak, Chushul, and Tsaga toward the soul-soothing region of Hanle in Changthang. Visit the 17th-century Hanle Monastery and the Indian Astronomical Observatory, situated at a staggering 4,500 meters.
Overnight: Homestay (or similar) in Hanle.
Day 11: Conquering Umling La
Experience: Push toward Umling La, the highest motorable road in the world. Enjoy panoramic views, epic photos, and a spiritual, overwhelming beauty where you truly understand why locals call mountains “Mountain Goddesses”.
Overnight: Return to Hanle for dinner and a night stay in a homestay (or similar).
Day 12: The Blue Triangle of Tso Moriri
Experience: A 4-to-5-hour drive via Nyoma, Mahe, Sundo, and Kiagar Tso brings you to Tso Moriri (Korzok). Watch the shadows play on this hidden treasure, a lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains and filled with migratory birds.
Overnight: Night stay at a resort in Tso Moriri.
Day 13: Tso Kar (The White Lake) to Jispa
Experience: Explore the Rupshu Valley and Taglang La Pass region, spotting marmots, wild asses, and Tibetan wolves. Drive to Tso Kar (The White Lake) via Polokongka Pass, a paradise for bird watchers to see Brahmani Ducks and Black-Necked Cranes. Proceed towards Jispa crossing Pang, Lachulung La, Sarchu, and Baralacha La, finishing the day with a visit to Gemur Monastery.
Overnight: Night stay at a camp in Jispa.
Day 14: Descending into Manali
Experience: Leave the memories of Jispa behind and take a scenic 5-hour drive to Manali. Travel via Keylong, Tandi, Sissu, Khoksar, and the famous Rohtang La.
Overnight: Pack your bags, rest, and stay overnight at a hotel in Manali.
Day 15: Departure
Experience: After a late breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed toward Delhi via Volvo Bus. Leave behind this hidden paradise with remarkable memories to inspire your next adventure.
